Situated in Epworth, Harare; Tariro House of Hope was established by Regina Dururu in October 2002. Having touched by the plight of children that suffer through their childhood due to various circumstance she set up the Home with the hope of being to Serve and Save the children of Zimbabwe one at a time.

 

Her mission was to alleviate poverty and suffering among the less privileged by providing relief and support to orphans and vulnerable children. Tariro House of Hope does not house children but it takes care of them in partnership with the children’s guardians.

 

Agape Family Care Institutions programme came through in support of the work that is being done to support vulnerable children. Assigned by Ruth Emmanuel-Makandiwa groceries, toiletries and detergents were purchased to meet the needs of the institution.

 

A donation consisting of Mealie Meal, Sugar, Rice, Flour, Cooking Oil, Juice, Sugar Beans, Chunks, Salt, Peanut Butter, Margarine, Teabags, Laundry Soap, Bath soap, Washing Powder, Toothpaste, Camphor Cream, Bath Towels, Sanitary Ware, Toilet Paper and a Detergents Hamper was handed over on the 12th of November 2021 to the representatives of the institution.

 

The girls who are part of the institution were also treated to a dignity pack each to cover for their personal care. Each pack had, body cream, bath soap, toothpaste, a bath towel and sanitary pads.
