Many children in the world do not have the privilege of a safe and happy home. Many are orphaned, destitute, abandoned, abused, exposed to domestic violence and desperately in need of shelter, food and education.

 

To cover the needs of vulnerable and innocent boys specifically; St Joseph’s House for Boys located in Belvedere, Harare was established in 1953 to accommodate them and assist them in learning and attaining habits of obedience, reverence, discipline, self-respect and all that tends to make them good and useful citizens of Zimbabwe in a homely environment.

 

Since the Home relies on external funding; Agape Family Care identified the Institution through its needs assessment and targeted it for assistance. A donation of Mealie Meal, Cooking Oil, Sugar, Flour, Rice, Sugar Beans, Salt, Juice, Tea Bags, Laundry Soap, Washing Powder, Bath Soap, Toothpaste, Vaseline, Toilet Paper, Hair Clippers, Shaving Sticks, Bath Towels, Face Masks, Sun Screens, School Satchels, Rulers, Pens, Mathematical Sets, Exercise Books, Counter Books, Plastic and Khakhi Covers.

 

The donation will help in guaranteeing the nutrition, health and wellbeing of the boys as well as equip them adequately for their studies at school as there is an inclusion of their school stationery.
