AFC Food Relief Donations in Westlea

Through the Patronage of Ruth Emmanuel-Makandiwa Zones and Branches within UFIC collaborated with Agape Family Care to embark on Relief Package Distributions for the less privileged and elderly.

One of the Zones Westlea in Harare targeted beneficiaries from places surrounding their region that would receive livelihoods support during these difficult times.

Sanitizers, Handwashing Water, Temperatures Check and Social Distancing were all observed as part of the stipulated COVID 19 protocols and regulations. As preparations were under way, beneficiaries were also given some beverages and eats as they awaited the handover of their parcels.

With the support of the Agape Family Care Programs Team distributions were underway with the beneficiaries receiving Cooking Oil, Mealie Meal, Sugar, Washing Soap and Sugar Beans.

The recipients could not withhold their gratitude which they openly expressed through jovial songs and dance. These relief packages are part of the livelihoods support program to help beneficiaries manage the after effects of the pandemic.
