AFC Donation To Chiedza Child Care Centre

Chiedza Child Care Centre’s goal is to provide community-based holistic services in a sustainable way to orphans and vulnerable children in the Harare suburbs of Mbare, Sunningdale, Waterfalls & Ardbennie.

Owing to the Corona Virus pandemic many children from disadvantaged families have become more vulnerable as they spend their time at home and are unable to secure sufficient meals.

Many school children are no longer receiving school meals which are often the meals they can count on. Because of disruptions to informal sector jobs; families are struggling to afford nutritious food.

In response to the crisis, Agape Family Care with the support of its faithful partners once again joined forces for a worthy cause with Chiedza Child Care Centre through the Institutions Programme by donating Maize Meal, Cooking Oil and Beans for children’s meals.

The donation will help to feed children from the surrounding communities of Mbare, Waterfalls, Ardbennie, Sunningdale and even as far as Highfields. This feeding facility at the Care Centre will help children not to be emotionally, physically or sexually exploited in exchange for food. According to Ruth Emmanuel-Makandiwa no child should be exposed to manipulation or left vulnerable and unprotected.
