With many in urban areas having experienced loss of employment resulting in a loss of income they are now facing the threat of food insecurity.

In order to help families in need to survive and lessen their burden; UFIC Malbereign worked in collaboration with the Agape Family Care Livelihoods Team on a Livelihoods Support Programme resulting in the distribution of livelihoods support packages.

The distributed packages included Mealie Meal, Sugar, Rice, Flour, Salt, Cooking Oil, Sugar Beans, Laundry Soap, Bath Soap and Matches. The targeted beneficiaries comprised of the elderly, widows, single mothers and vulnerable families that have been affected by the distress of income loss.
