AFC Donation to Bako Redonhodzo Home

Often neglected and forgotten, there is a special group of people in the society, that no longer has or never had, the opportunity of experiencing the love of a family and loved ones. The ups and downs of life have treated them differently, and they rely on the care of well-wishers and institutions – the destitute.

Ruth Emmanuel-Makandiwa has made it her mission to become the family that these people need and share the love of God with them, most importantly, in trying times like the COVID-19 pandemic.

In celebrating her birthday, she sent the Agape Family Care team on the 4th of September 2021 to Bako Redonhodzo; a home for the elderly that is found in the high density area of Highfields. The AFC team delivered a donation, directly from Ruth Emmanuel-Makandiwa’s heart, to the elderly people of Bako Redonhodzo.

The donation included; cooking oil, sugar, rice, flour, sugar beans, milk powder, juice, mealie meal, dishwashing liquid, detergents, toilet dip, washing powder, laundry soap, bath soap, toothpaste, hand sanitizers, disposable face masks, latex gloves, toilet tissue, adult diapers, blankets, tennis shoes, 20L buckets, 90L dishes, 1 x 20L hand washing bucket with tap.

With hearts filled with joy and gladness, the elderly people at Bako Redonhodzo celebrated as they received the donation from AFC.
