According to Ruth Emmanuel-Makandiwa; the welfare of our elderly people is of utmost importance; and they require our respect and support.

Based on her placement of value upon the elderly; Ruth Emmanuel-Makandiwa through the Agape Family Care Institutions Program reached out to various Old People’s Homes so she could address their pressing needs. One of the Homes; Melfort Old People’s Home located 50km out of Harare along Harare -Mutare Road also had its needs addressed in accordance to their wish list.

The timely and prized donation consisted of One Upright refrigerator, One 4 plate Electrical Stove, One 4 plate gas & electrical stove, 40 cups, 28 dinner plates, 30 blankets, 32inch LED television, DSTV decoder complete with fittings for Satellite viewing, Sugar, Rice, Sugar beans, Cooking Oil as well as Mealie Meal. This donation will help to ensure that the elderly residents are healthy, confident and relaxed in their environment. This donation will be helpful to the senior citizens in serving their daily needs.
