#GirlChildSheCan AFC Donation To Faith Life Foundation

For many less privileged Zimbabwean girls torn pieces of rag have taken the place of sanitary wear as they can no longer afford proper sanitary pads. For these rural girls, one of the ways that their poverty is clearly revealed is during their monthly menstrual periods.
 
As part of the #GirlChildSheCan Awareness Campaign Ruth Emmanuel-Makandiwa through Agape Family Care also partners with local organizations that work towards supporting the rights and dignity of the Girl Child whilst extending love and compassion through this noble mission.
 
In the spirit of partnership and program support; Agape Family Care recently handed over 10 Cartons of Sanitary Pads to Faith and Life Foundation. Faith and Life Foundation is a Local Organization implementing programs that the rural Girl Child in Gokwe, Zimbabwe. Sun Protection Creams and Sun hats were also availed for those with albinism as part of the Together in the Same World Campaign for People with Albinism. The sanitary pads will help the targeted girls not to feel shamed or embarrassed and prevent them from using unhygienic alternatives that will put them at high risk of infections.
