AFC Donation to Hurungwe Children’s Home

The Agape Family Care Institutions Program seeks to support the welfare of people housed under various Institutions that include Hospitals, Schools, Correctional Facilities, Old People’s Homes and Children’s Homes.
 
The nation wide humanitarian outreach for Ruth Emmanuel-Makandiwa’s Birthday Celebrations on the 4th of September saw Hurungwe Children’s Home benefiting from her mission of spreading love through UFIC Karoi Branch. The Institution that houses 90 vulnerable children who have suffered physical, sexual or emotional abuse, severe neglect or abandonment whereas some are orphans and/or are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.
 
The donation covered their residential quarters as they received 15 single mattresses for their beds so they could sleep comfortably. The Food provisions included 1.5 tonnes Maize Grain, Rice, Sugar, Juice, Salt, Vegetables, Beef, Biscuits, Drinks, Soya Chunks ,Beans and Cooking oil. On the other hand the toiletries and detergents included; Laundry Soap, Bath Soap, Washing Powder, Sanitary Pads, Vaseline and Toilet Paper.
 
The official handover celebrations were also a memorable festive day for the children as they had an opportunity to be spoilt with a scrumptious meal and goodies.
