#GirlChildSheCanCampaign Bulawayo Outreach

When girls are empowered, they have the knowledge and skills to advocate for themselves and their communities, accomplish their goals, and live healthier and more fulfilled lives.

The Girl Child She Can Awareness came to life to be a voice of reason and compassion for the African girl-child.

Travelling over 500 kilometers from Harare, the Agape Family Care Team, sent by Ruth Emmanuel-Makandiwa, embarked on a tour in Matebeleland South Province; visiting schools in rural districts. A total of 6 schools were visited by the Agape Family Care as part of the #GirlChildSheCan Awareness Campaign; Mboqane Primary and Secondary School, Mbuyazwe Primary and Secondary School, Ensizini Primary and Secondary School.

The campaign ran with the theme of empowering young girls and enlightening them on their rights, how the Law is always there to protect them in the case that their health is violated and how to keep themselves healthy and abstain from any sexual activities before marriage.

AFC also donated sanitary wear to the girls in the schools and stationery. The AFC Bulawayo Team also donated groceries to some of the schools that cater for kids that travel long distances to come to school.
