“Ruth Makandiwa Helped Me To Feed My 15 GrandChildren” – AFC Beneficiary

Gogo Melia Damiano (84 years old) who resides in Epworth, Harare relocated together with her husband from Malawi during the 1970s. After the passing on of her husband in 2000, she was left with 12 children that she had to take care of.

“When my husband died, I didn’t know what to do because he left me with 12 children and grandchildren.” Gogo Damiano narrated

“I was very troubled and saddened because these children now looked up to me for food and everything. It was a very difficult situation for me.”

Whilst she was trying to recoup from the passing of her husband, Gogo Damiano went through a tumultuous period as 9 of her children passed on, one after the other.

With no relatives in Zimbabwe and no one to assist her, she was left with the responsibility of taking care of more than 15 grandchildren. With such a huge family looking up to her for everything food, clothes etc. Gogo Damiano struggled to make ends meet and her situation worsened by the day to the extent that she ended up contemplating of taking her own life because her situation had become unbearable.

“I had reached a point where I was in deep depression in my mind, not knowing what to do and I even considered committing suicide because I was a widow who had no one to look up to or to help me.” Gogo Damiano said.

At a time when Gogo Damiano had lost all hope, Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa, through the Agape Family Care, extended the love of God to Gogo Damiano and her family.

From 2012 up till today, Gogo Damiano has been receiving monthly groceries and monthly rental/accommodation allowance from Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa through the Agape Family Care. Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa also paid for the school fees for Gogo Damiano’s grandchildren.

“I would really want to thank Prophet Emmanuel and Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa for all that she has done for me. If not for her, I don’t know what I could have done.” Gogo Damiano expressed her gratitude.”

“Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa helped me in my life unconditionally and whole-heartedly.  She is taking care of all my grandchildren and paying for their school fees. I would really want to express my gratitude for all this. I don’t know what I would have done without her.”
